LI-CON welcomes Richard Herr! We’ll be having a contest to find something Richard hasn’t done on Sunday. (No, we won’t. It would be too hard to win.)

Book Club: The Atrocity Archive
On Wednesday, September 2 the ICON Book Club will meet to discuss The Atrocity Archive by former I-CON guest of honor Charles Stross.
Come join us! It’s a really fun book and the start of a great series.
In the past we’ve discussed such other fine authors as two-time LI-CON author guest Roy Mauritsen.
Trailer for The Martian released
The upcoming blockbuster The Martian is based on the best-selling movie by our guest, Andy Weir. Here’s a preview:
Paul Levinson's Triumphant Return!
Everyone enjoyed Paul Levinson‘s time at LI-CON 1. So this year he’s taken it up a couple of notches. Not only is he still the award-winning author and critic: this time around we have a movie make from one of his stories, and Paul will be performing some of his music. Brimstone (Will Kucmierowski) to appear at LI-CON 2!
We’re proud to announce that Brimstone will bring some of his talents to our convention. I’m sure he’ll try to bring them all, but we have only 3 days and he’s an actor, pro wrestler, comic book creator, book publisher, game publisher, sauce and seasoning maker (!) and food show host. We can’t wait to see him.
Artist and Author Roy Mauritsen
We’re delighted to have Roy back at LI-CON, and I know you are too. Say “Hi” to him in the Dealers Room, or attend the programming he will appear on, or admire his art in our new Art Show (more to come on the Art Show).
Terry Pratchett no more
LI-CON joins all his fans in already missing Sir Pterry and offering our sympathy to his family and friends.
Peter David, Writer of Stuff

I’m very happy to announce that Peter David has agreed to appear at LI-CON. As any I-CON fan will remember, Peter has attended literally dozens of our conventions (and yet he’s only 30 years old. Amazing.) The man doesn’t seem to loaf very much: he has written some of the most acclaimed comics of the 20’th Century, including long runs on The Incredible Hulk, Supergirl, Aquaman, and creating X-Factor among many others. He also writes for TV and movies, co-creating the Nickelodeon show Space Cases and writing several episodes of Babylon 5. And of course, he’s a best-selling novelist, his most recent publication being Artful, A Novel (or I think so–he writes so much in so many fields it’s hard to keep up.)
And yet, writing is his second career.
We missed Peter at LI-CON 1 and it’s with tremendous pleasure that I anticipate having him at LI-CON 2.
Novelist David Mack will appear at LI-CON 2
I’m pleased to announce that David Mack will be joining us in Ronkonkoma this August. David is the author of over 25 novels, including both media tie-in novels like the Star Trek Vanguard series that he co-created, and original novels like his thriller The Calling. His best-selling works also include comics, non-fiction and TV and movie scripts. We’re looking forward to talking to him in August, and I know you are, too.
Stay tuned for more announcements!
Paul Levinson, Renaissance Man
Award-winning writer of both fiction and non-fiction, TV and radio personality, and Fordham professor Paul Levinson has agreed to appear at LI-CON.
Oh, and we’re hoping that Paul will also perform some of his music. Did we mention he’s also a musician?
