The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe!

I’m incredibly proud to announce that the four-time Podcast Award-winning Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe will be attending LI-CON! The “Rogues” will record a show at our event, and they’ll also participate in panels and/or give talks.

The SGU has won 4 Podcast Awards and is consistently ranked as one of the top ten science podcasts. The Rogues have exactly the wide selection of skills and knowledge you’d expect from a “rogues gallery,” from neuroscience to martial arts to antique cannon replica manufacturing.

I look forward to seeing them in person again, and I know you’ll all enjoy seeing and meeting them.

Best-Selling Author Andy Weir (The Martian)

We are delighted to announce that Andy Weir, author of The Martian (coming to the big screen from Fox in November!) will be making an appearance at LI-CON. Unfortunately he can’t be here in person, but we’re very happy to have him on live video chat. The Martian, Andy’s first published novel, hit #1 on the NY Times best-seller list and is still there after 23 weeks as I write this!

LI-CON Gaming update

We’re happy to announce a unique event: Cards Against LI-CON. Play an uncensored, uninhibited game of the insanely popular (and insane!) game, using unique cards created specifically for this special event. We’ll have cards based on our guests and staff, and players can receive these one-of-a-kind cards and decks as prizes, signed by the people they’re about. This tournament will be the centerpiece of our overnight gaming. That’s right, you can play games continuously from Saturday morning through the con ending on Sunday evening. But please stop a few times to do stuff like eat, shower, and such.

More exciting gaming news soon!
